This intense was game played in chilly and windy conditions at Balboa, a game so intense that none of the players or officials were even aware of the earthquake going on beneath their feet!

The winning margin could have been much narrower had it not been for a large number of balls drifting either side of the Boru goals. Discipline problems arose leaving Ulster a man down after a short melee in which it was difficult to pick out culprits from both sides.

Play resumed as Ulster pieced together some nice movements, but the slightest mistake was ruthlesly punished by Boru who never looked like they were going to let this one slip away.
